Most models are offered with a choice of 2 or 4 CPU cores

Trading software will only use 1 or 2 CPU cores. Unless you are using more than one trading system then a quad core CPU will not improve performance.

The system memory, or RAM, holds the data that is immediately required by the processor. Higher speed DDR3 memory (like the DDR3-1333/PC2-10600 we offer with the F-22), means that data will be loaded and retrieved faster and allow the CPU to work more efficiently.

If 4GB of memory is installed in the system, the total memory will show less than 4G Bytes. Windows XP/Vista 32-bit Operating System cannot use all the available memory because of limitations within the operating system Kernel.

The F-22 is equipped with high reliability hard drives. The 250GB standard hard drive has been shown by years of experience to be reliable. The optional hard drives are enterprise server grade drives or a 10,000rpm Western digital Raptor SATA hard drive. These drives have high data transfer rates, much higher reliability, and a large RAM cache.

Falcon computers use the finest emergency rescue system available today. A hidden partition on the hard drive contains a complete copy of your as-shipped Operating System installation. In 15 minutes you can perform a complete fresh re-install of Windows XP or Vista.
