The F-38X is equipped with high reliability hard drives. The 500GB standard hard drive has been shown to be reliable. The optional hard drive is an enterprise server grade 10,000rpm Western digital Raptor SATA hard drive. These drives have high data transfer rates, much higher reliability, and a large RAM cache.

Falcon computers use the finest emergency rescue system available today. A hidden partition on the hard drive contains a complete copy of your as-shipped Operating System installation. In 15 minutes you can perform a complete fresh re-install of Windows XP or Vista.

The system memory, or RAM, holds the data that is immediately required by the processor. The Fully-Buffered DIMM memory is Registered ECC (error correcting) to prevent data corruption.

If 4GB of memory is installed in the system, the total memory will show less than 4G Bytes. Windows XP/Vista 32-bit Operating System cannot use all the available memory because of limitations within the operating system Kernel.
